Hands-on Sessions help foundrymen and students get an exposure to actually working on AutoCAST. These sessions are conducted by the local IIF Chapter along with an Academic Institute.

Gogte Institute of Technology & Belgaum Foundry Cluster, Belgaum

A technical hands-on session on the application of AutoCAST-X1 for casting design and simulation was conducted at Gogte Institute of Technology in collaboration with the Belgaum Foundry Cluster, 3D Foundry Tech, and our partner Simcast Technologies on 26th and 27th September. The program attracted participation from foundry professionals keen on adopting simulation-driven approaches to enhance casting quality, design efficiency, and yield.

The session also generated strong interest among GIT students who are exploring career opportunities in the foundry and casting simulation domain. Existing AutoCAST users shared their practical experiences, highlighting how the software has supported improvements in casting quality, methoding, and yield optimization while keeping implementation costs low.

Belgaum Foundry Cluster

A practical workshop on Casting Design and Simulation was organized in collaboration with the Belgaum Foundry Cluster. The session provided foundry professionals with direct, hands-on experience using AutoCAST-X1, supported by case studies that helped them better understand casting design and simulation methodologies.

Government Polytechnic, Kolhapur

A hands-on session on Casting Design and Simulation was conducted at Government Polytechnic, Kolhapur on 27 March 2019. The session focused on enabling foundry professionals to gain practical exposure to AutoCAST-X1 through case studies aimed at understanding casting design and simulation practices.

IIF-Coimbatore, PSG College

A two-day hands-on session on Casting Design and Simulation was conducted at PSG Polytechnic along with IIF-Coimbatore on 8th & 9th March 2019. The foundrymen experienced the live demonstration and analysis for Sand Casting and Shell Molding processes for their parts. The session on use of AutoCAST X1 methoding and simulation analysis for identifying the defects like Shrinkage Porosity, Cold Shut, Air Porosity, etc and the required problem-solving techniques on the customer parts was well appreciated.

MUJCAL Association and, the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), Gujarat,

A seminar on the application of AutoCAST-X1 in Casting Design and Simulation was jointly organized by the MUJCAL Association of Foundry Technology, the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), Gujarat, and 3D Foundry Tech, Mumbai on 5th Jan 2019. The program saw enthusiastic participation from professionals representing local foundries, along with students keen to gain practical insights into casting simulation and design practices.

IIF-Coimbatore, PSG College

IIF-Coimbatore, along with 3D Foundry Tech, conducted a well-attended hands-on session on Casting Design and Simulation at PSG Polytechnic on 02 Aug 2018. The session was highly interactive and practising foundrymen and students could experience AutoCAST and discuss case studies.

IIF-Belgaum- Southern Chapter

A Hands-on Session on Casting Design and Simulation was jointly organized by 3D Foundry Tech and the Institute of Indian Foundrymen (IIF) – Southern Chapter at Belgaum on 02 July 2018. The event attracted a diverse audience, including experienced foundry engineers and young engineering students, resulting in strong participation throughout the session.

Govt. Polytechnic, Kolhapur and Dynamic Foundry Group

AutoCAST hands-on session was conducted in Govt. Polytechnic College, Kolhapur on 28th May 2018. Participants from Kolhapur, Belgaum, Satara foundry cluster got the opportunity to use AutoCAST during the hands-on session. Participants were also involved in brainstorming discussion on a live case study of critical component and the usage of AutoCAST iterations to improve the quality and yield of castings.

IFEX 2025 | Growing Across Regions

The AutoCAST team participated in IFEX 2025, held in Kolkata on 9th, 10th & 11th February. The exhibition served as a valuable platform to reconnect with existing customers from the Bengal region while also strengthening relationships with long-standing users of AutoCAST.

The event generated strong interest from new prospects, particularly from Northern India, who were keen to explore simulation-driven solutions for improving casting quality and productivity. In addition, the AutoCAST stall attracted attention from a few international visitors, leading to meaningful technical discussions and potential collaboration opportunities.

IFEX 2024 | Driving Foundry Excellence

AutoCAST participated in IFEX 2024, held on 2nd, 3rd and 4th February 2024 at Bengaluru, India. The event provided an excellent platform to engage with foundry professionals from across the country and discuss current challenges faced in casting production.

The AutoCAST stall received strong interest from industry representatives, with visitors keen to understand how simulation can be effectively used for methoding validation, defect prediction, and yield improvement. Live discussions and demonstrations helped highlight AutoCAST’s capabilities in casting design and process optimization, leading to several meaningful technical interactions and potential business opportunities.

 

Inter Foundry & Inter DieCast 2022 — Coimbatore

Inter Foundry & Inter DieCast 2022 was organized with the objective of bringing together foundry professionals, technology providers, and solution partners on a common platform to share knowledge on process improvements, emerging technologies, and simulation-driven decision-making in the foundry industry.

AutoCAST participated in the event at Coimbatore by demonstrating casting design and simulation capabilities. The team showcased AutoCAST workflows through case studies covering methoding, defect prediction, and yield optimization, enabling meaningful technical discussions with foundry professionals and students.

IFEX 2018 | Exploring opportunities :

  • AutoCAST team participated in ‘IFEX 2018’ organized by ‘The Institute of Indian Foundrymen’ held during January 10 – 12, 2018 at Gandhinagar Gujarat, INDIA.
  • AutoCAST booth was visited by many foundry personals and many of them shown will to purchase AutoCAST.
  • The methods design, optimization and simulation concept was well explained on banners of booth which attracted many visitors.

WESCON, 2018

The Institute of Indian Foundrymen, Kolhapur Chapter organized ‘WESCON-2018’ a two-day conference on 15th April and 16th April, 2018 at Hotel Sayaji,Kolhapur. 3D Foundry Tech is a Gold Sponsor for this event. The main purpose of this conference is to discuss the potential challenges for Indian foundry industry and the opportunities for growth. The theme of the conference is ‘VISION-2025: Predict the Challenges…Cast The Future’.
The technical presentation by AutoCAST team received positive feedback. The milestone of crossing 175+ licenses got a good round of applause. The increasing interest from foundrymen towards use of simulation software’s such as AutoCAST shows willingness of foundry industries to adapt the Industry 4.0.

IFEX 2016 | Satisfied Customers :

  • AutoCAST team participated in ‘IFEX 2016’ organized by ‘The Institute of Indian Foundrymen’ held during 29-31st January, 2016 at Coimbatore, INDIA.
  • The booth was designed on ‘First Time Right’ concept. How simulation software can be useful in saving foundries time and money and aim towards defect free casting was well explained on banners.
